So,I was here before with a 1972 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, and I think I had my 1973 Cadillac Coupe DeVille on here as well,my screen name then was 72DeVil(Do a search, you'll see the old Cads I owned).Well, time has gone by,and I've gone through a bit of attitude change, and I also finally got my golden ring:A very solid, very complete original 1963 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, almost fully optioned with the exception of the Eldorado trim and interior package(It was rare, but you could option it on the Coupe DeVille, seen a few for sale now.Just added Eldorado trim and the bucket seats and some interior trim).

I am the 6th owner of this car,and my friend with my old '62 Sedan DeVille was the previous owner(Traded him the '62 sedan for the '63 coupe). This car started out near me when the first owners bought it new, then when they passed they left it to their son.Well,a gentleman that lives three block from me bought it from the son of the original owners and proceeded to put it on non op.Then,a company in Arizona known as Desert Gardens Sales in Quartzsite,AZ bought it from him. Then another gentlemen that lived in Rancho Santa Margarita,CA that was coming back from somehwere in Nevada bought it from Desert Gardens, got it home and started doing some resto(I found a receipt for $1400 in brake work in 2006).Nowmy friend ended up trading a $4000 gift certificate to new Home Furnishings for it,and then i traded my '62 about 7 months later for it.

Now,this is the weird part:Somewhere along the line, either it had been in some sort of accident,or maybe someone was replacing missing trim, but all the trim on the passenger side(Headlight bucket, bezel, crown molding, turn signal indicator and trim piece below it) was from a '64.Well,it was also missing the chrome lip molding for the hood, but I've gathered all the parts except for the battery tray and upper grill support to put her back to 100% original. The interior is in pretty decent shape, and everything works minus the trunk pull down.I even have ice cold original factory AC!Everything is power operated on this Caddy, and there is no rust and very minor body work to be done.It qwill definitely need a paint job.Only problem i have currently is the top end of the motor needs to be rebuilt and it needs an unleaded conversion, which all will be done by the end of July.

I love it! Don't wreck it by making it too slick,or putting stupid wheels on it.:bonkers:

That car would be gorgeous in black.

Love these cars! She's a beauty, and that steering wheel is just gorgeous.

Cut the bottom out of that Folgers can in the trunk and put it on craigslist as an exhaust tip. Should be able to make a couple bucks off some ricer-kid there.

Looks good. What's in store for the future?

I would two tone it:

or maybe

The one across the street from me is white with a black hard top.

Well, this may seem like sacrilege, but I'm looking at a definite two tone,Candy body with a flake top,60's style. No ridiculous rims,Maybe 15" Astro Supremes with a 1.75" whitewall or chrome Cragar SS rims,or maybe some different caps on the wheels though. But for now it's all mechanical, just found that I'll probably need a new cam and lifters,so I'm looking at an Isky Performer cam and lifters set. Here's a pic of a color combo I had in mind, green body, white top:

I've seen '63s done up like that. They look decent if done right.
