Hello, I am looking to buy a new or used V that has the 6-speed transmission and no sunroof. Prefer silver or gray. Please email me if you have one available for sale. Thanks!

Try Sewell Cadillac in Grapevine, TX. They had one I was going to buy until a Thunder Gray popped up and had my name all over it! (I was there yesterday and know for sure they have a used black 6 speed manual with no roof!)

ask for David Knap (Internet Mgr)

The request simply specifies a "6-speed." It never says whether the request is for an automatic or a manual transmission. Both have six forward speeds. In the case of a 2009 CTS-V, "6-speed" no longer automatically implies a manual transmission.

I don't know John Hennessey. So, it would be helpful if he would be clear about what he wants. I would guess that more people who read this forum don't know him than those that do.

The difference between a manual and an automatic is that the automatic does low end faster than the manual and the manual has a little higher top speed than the automatic. Oh, and the auto doesn't require you to operate a clutch or shift gears - my kind of transmission. If operating a clutch and shifting gears is the definition of high-performance, I guess I am totally unwashed. There might be some people out there that can operate a manual transmission faster than an automatic, but I am not one of them.

Hey ted, I'm pretty sure the reason why the governed the auto V at a lower speed then the man isent just cuz the manual can go faster its prob cuz the manual can take it... which in my opinion would make it the better PERFORMANCE version of the V.
