Has anyone thought/built a some kind of simple cabin cover for their Allante?

I mean something similar that can be found on many old british roadsters, a simple cover that can be pulled over the cabin for protection when car is parked.

Having driven mine top down for the first time today, I was left wondering if something like that could be usefull. It takes some time to pull the soft top up when stopping for a short period of time and in many cases it might be a bit of an overkill as well.

That is an excellent idea, but I personally have never seen one on an Allante in person or in print.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see any use for this accessory on the Allante unless your convertible top is broken or in ugly condition. The only problem in raising the Allante's top is remembering to remove the mini-covers.

I had a soft cover for my C3 vette so I could leave the T-tops at home (instead of using all of the cargo space in the cabin) and have a cover in case of rain.
