Anyone have the part number for the rear bumper cover for an 04 3.6? Posted a message before but never got an answer. My body shop wants $700 to replace and repaint mine. Don't ask why it needs to be replaced, as my answer would relegate me to the ranks of the massively stupid.

Have you tried EBay? A quick search shows several 'take off' rear CTS bumper covers for around $200. Depending on the color of your car, you may not need to repaint it. Here's one:

That price is not outrageous at all. The rear bumper cover is a little over $400 and the paint work on a bumper (special paint mixture) would run about $250-$300.

However, there are some on ebay, but make sure they are for the 2004 (some list 2003-2004 which is not entirely true) as the 2003 models will only have one exhaust cutout, where the 2004 will have two.

The exhaust is located slightly differently, as the rear bumper is a little lower. It looks like you simply need the rear sumper cover and the two inner wheel well extensions (since it drops a little lower).
