: Low/High Beam Bulbs

I am new here, so be patient. I bought a 2005 STS back in February for a great deal. However, I have a low beam out now.

How can I tell if I have the HID/Xenon lights without ripping the car apart? I want to purchase all new bulbs so I only have to get into the assemblies once. I do not want to open it up, verify the bulbs, get bulbs, then open it up again.

I'm sure the HID Xenon lights were part of an option package. Can you tell us more about what options your car has, like V8/V6? Nav? 17/18" wheels?

I think all the HID cars also included the headlight washer system.

But to be sure, check your RPO codes in the trunk.
You will want to look for: TT6
Description: HEADLAMPS HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE

The good news, the bulbs are covered by the Certified Preowned warranty.

This is a 2005 STS, no nav, V6, custom Caddy rims (all one size and not the different sizes on the original). I will find out for sure when I take it in Friday to have them replaced. All I can really tell at the moment is that when they are off, they have a blueish tint to them in the assembly.

BTW, thank you for the responses.

In 2005 HID was only an option on the V8 models i do believe.

Check your RPO codes though, it's fun!

The codes are under the spare tire cover.

Thanks for the info. This is what I have.

T84 Headlamps RH Rule of the Road, E Mark

This appears to be the halogen bulbs. If I chose to put in a HID kit, how difficult is that undertaking?
