View Full Version : another custom caddy csbuckn 06-15-09, 11:00 PM heres another custom caddy, alot of work done. I like it but the price is high. Also like that he removed the vinyl top instead of getting some type of custom lettering or color

If I had that kind of $$$ to drop on my Cadillac, it would have a procharged LS3 under the hood and run 10's on pump gas with cold a/c dirt_cheap_fleetwood 06-16-09, 02:39 AM God I hate hydraulics.
However, the car actually looks pretty slick slammed to the ground with the wheels tucked up in there. It makes it look even longer than it already is. If the wheels were not as large that would be very cool. This is a better view I found by chance months ago.....

I think it looks pretty bitchin'.
It doesn't have hydraulics, it has air. I agree about it looking cool.....BUT the wheels are too big in diameter IMO as well.
Martin. dirt_cheap_fleetwood 06-17-09, 02:43 AM The back wheels are a perfect size but they look too big up front without the skirts. csbuckn 06-17-09, 10:46 AM I wish he had more pics of the vinyl top removal, it seems like a job worth trying cause anything would look better than what I have now. But isnt the back window affected by this? dirt_cheap_fleetwood 06-17-09, 04:31 PM The top is still on there. It doesn't look like it has been removed to me. The thing is for guys like me I have to at the very least bag it, otherwise I can't get up my driveway :hmm: jayoldschool 06-24-09, 01:52 PM To remove the top, you need the rear window trim from a bare-top DeVille... Hooligan63 06-24-09, 04:47 PM God I hate hydraulics.

Look again,it's not hydraulics Stingroo 06-24-09, 04:50 PM Not fond of the wheels. Way too large.
I like how they look without the vinyl tops. Personally, I don't like them, mostly because I live in Florida, and the sun is not their friend. lol dirt_cheap_fleetwood 06-25-09, 02:48 AM Look again,it's not hydraulics
Airbags, hydraulics, same thing. It makes the car go up and down, which is not what it was designed to do. Hooligan63 06-25-09, 04:58 AM Airbags, hydraulics, same thing. It makes the car go up and down, which is not what it was designed to do.
Saying airbags and hydraulics are the same thing is like saying McDonalds and Sizzler is the same thing.Second, many Cadillacs, came stock with a form of air ride suspension, the first being the 1957 Eldorado. All designed for adjusting ride height in one way or another. dirt_cheap_fleetwood 06-25-09, 02:31 PM Okay, so there is a difference, but stock level ride systems don't go from sitting on the ground to a foot or more in the air. Anything that has the potential to do this should be outlawed.
