An attorney is representing me in a Magnusun-Moss Warranty Act issue from this problem. Basically states that I was sold a problematic vehicle at more than it's value. No cost, as the attorney fees must be paid by the manufacturer. Could be worth you guy$ checking in to.

I think your kinda limited with the law suite hear, they are offering to fix the problems and if the car stays in the shop (in virginia i think its two weeks or more check your area) the car becomes a lemon and you can get your purchase price back....cars have problems and thats why they have recalls and warranties.

well problem i have is that they keep giving me my car back saying that they can't duplicate the issue.
rear diff was in like 3 times before they started admiting that there is a problem. As for AC vent, it's been rejected twice eventhough on second time, he even heard it and said that he will have someone look at it. Do you remember hearing the whistling noise on the driver side vent?

I don't think you should be giving Sensorium legal advice. If his lawyer tells him that he has a viable cause action against GM and/or the selling dealer, then Sensorium should follow his lawyer's advice. If it takes a lawsuit to get GM and the dealer to do the right thing, then so be it. Sensorium should not be holding the bag. If the lawyer doesn't get it done, Sensorium is in no worse shape than he was before he saw the lawyer.

Recalls and warranties do not always address the problem of a lemon car.

There are laws on the books to protect consumers, Sensorium is a consumer, so nothing wrong with his exploring all of his legal options.

Go for it Sensorium.

Every dealer is a different problem. Some are very receptive to the customers concerns but others look for any way out. Some give loaners and others soak you for a rental car. It's whatever is customary for the area or whatever they can get away with. Some won't give an inch unless an attorney is leaning on them. I'll never understand why anyone in businees feels they have something to gain by abusing their customers.

The lawyer has reviewed my repair history and believes I meet several criteria for a case of this type. The firm wouldn't take the case if they thought they'd lose, since they don't get paid until the settlement. He said 99% of these are settled without trial and to expect 2-6K. What the hell, right?
