Hey guys,
I believe that the transmission is going to go soon. I notice that it feels a little sluggish when I lightly give it gas. ( almost as if I were driving it like my grandmother. But when I GIVE it some gas you really cant tell that there is a problem. It is really noticable on the freeway. When I am already at about 70 and I want to go to 75 I feel sluggishness. Now if "pump the pedal" not to the point where I'm almost flooring it or anything but just to the point where you feel the resistance in the pedal like right before it "kicksdown" then it will eventually kickdown and the acceleration is great. If you don't pump it, then you might get lucky and it will perform like it should. But the majority of the time it feels like it's just not in the right gear or something. No power, until it gets in the right gear. It seems like it has problems getting to the right gear.
My question is: is the tranny difficult to remove and replace if you have the service manual.( I haven't purchased one yet.)
And is there any way that I can test to make sure that it is the tranny and not something to do with the the signal sent to the transmission when I push the pedal. Because it will do fine if it is in the right spot, ( like I said by lightly pumping or just by luck.)
Also compared to reverse it is like night and day. Reverse is so responsive and the opposite for D gear or any of the forward gears.
If reverse works fine doesn't that mean that would cancel out the transmission signal that I was referring to earlier?
The fluid was changed along with filter in feb. this year.
Can someone please help me.:worship:
