So my 1991 Brougham has a gold pen stripe on it. Its starting to come off in a few sections and generally looks like crap. The orginal paint is nice, not perfect. Its a dark navy blue, almost black.

The pen stripe is a vinyl decal. I'm planning on taking it off and getting the car buffed. Will there still be a shadow line after the car is buffed?

How should I take it off? Heat gun? Solvent?(I'm worried about this damaging the paint)

local paint shop should have a deal called Erasor...basically its just a big eraser for a drill (cordless works fine) will take that stripe right off in matter of seconds...you will be done removing and decals in about a half hour...super simple, super easy, super cheap

I am removing my old one this way and then redoing it maybe unless I like it cleaned off
