I have a 2002 ETC. When the needle for the temp is straight up to the middle what temp is associated with that. Mine runs from the middle to just below the next hash mark. When it gets near the hash mark after the middle one, I can tell the fans are working and kicking in, as you can see it drop. Just like to know what that range is running at.

Thanks in Advance!

Your temperatures are perfectly normal. The fans go to slow at 224 or any time an A/C function is commanded ON. Fans go to high at 236 degrees coolant or 304 degrees transmission. The temperature should run at 12:00 (~195) on the highway, 65 mph. The thermostat is set to begin opening at 188 and be fully open at 206. The radiator tank oil cooler is designed to keep the oil at about coolant temperature to insure good flow and enough heat to boil off contaminants for burning by the PCV system. Your surge tank cap is set at 18 psi which gives a 50/50 coolant/water mix a boil point of about 265 degrees and a 70/30 mix a boil point of 276. The engine goes into Camel Mode at what, Ranger, 280 degrees ???
