What sort of shape is it in mechanically? Any rust? If it runs and drives nice, then its worth at least $3000. You'd never get that much $$$ parting it out, and why would you want to kill a nice car?

That is just waaaayy too nice to part out, assuming there is no major rust. If you really want to get rid of it, just give it to me :)

I really dont want to do it in,
it has a skip in it, although its running its factory original
spark plugs and opti-crapp dist cap, and wires
I think I will do the tune up and then decide,
I like the color, once it was washed up a bit,
no rust problems , even the under carriage is nice

A set of plugs and wires, a new cap and rotor and water pump will make it like new again... but thats no eazy job well not that hard ..just takes a long time...took me up to 12 hrs...I have done it on my 95 and my wifes 94 and sons 94....don't forget to fix those broken bolts on the exhaust manifolds..

Please, don't part that car. Did you get it for under 1500? You can make money on it. Just flip it.

That would make someone a very nice daily driver.

My good friend David used to have a modified 1995 in that color:

Tune that baby up and flip it. You would be doing the Fleetwood comunity a injustice to part that one out.

Did you sell the Road Runner yet?

Keep the car. Tune it up and drive it. She's got an easy 100k left in her. That's a really nice color on that car as well.

Congrats on the new ride.

Keep it. My Gold car was on page 1 shown with some mods. That car is way too nice to part out. They make great reliable daily drivers!

Glad to hear you didn't break her up after all. Even looking at the first pics, I couldn't understand why anyone would part out a car that good.

well the sellar was told it had a bad engine,
so I purchased it on that
mechanics seem to be afraid of these cars
I felt all along it was an opticrapp issue
I have parted some other fltwds that looked good on the outside, but had issues, one had its roof rust out under the carriage roof shell
everyone was like, thats way too nice to part out
but you needed a rain coat on if it was raining out, it just poured in

this is a nice running car, since I was able to drive it yesterday
I am glad I didnt have to kill it
almost want to keep it now :)

Glad you didn't kill it. That's a great car! Looks just like mine. I sense comparable restores coming along. :D (Of course, you'll beat me 'cause I have little cash at the moment, but still...)

Also, are those Cadillac leaves on the door locks stock? Mine doesn't have those. Could they be missing? </minor thread hijack>

I just want to know how a person gets in a positions where someone is offering up a really nice car that is perfectly good.

the wreathes on the door locks were put on by the last owner, not a fact option,
I have a couple sets if you decide you want them,

honestly, I put the time in looking for these cars
to help supply other fltwd folks like myself in good used parts
sometimes you get lucky, mostly not
I turn down a lot of parts cars, since the owners want way too much for them

my black fleetwood was deemed junk back 5 years ago by a cadillac dealer
since there was oil in the anti freeze
the owner was told the head gaskets were toast,
but since there was no water in the oil, only oil in the coolant
it was an easy diagnoses, new radiator , since the oil cooler was leaking oil into the rad, lol , so much for the dealer,
nothing finds me I do a lot of hunting!!

They look decent, but not my thing entirely. I was just wondering if they were factory. I only really need one small trim piece that I can tell to complete mine though. :P

Can't wait to see that car finished.

The wreaths on the door locks was a DeVille only thing. They usually come with the Gold Trim package and look much better on the older DeVilles where the door handles stick out and have the button. It looks weird with the newer cars when the door handles are part of the body.

Do you still have the Fleetwood? My mother who is 79 years old has banged hers up pretty well. I am restoring it as we speak which is why I joined this forum. I replaced both passenger doors but having a helluva time aligning them. Any Advice? I had to remove the fender which was also Hell! How do you get that fender back on with the torx bolts, with the dang door in place? I removed the fender so we could align the doors....I just Gave up a 12:01am...So here i am on this board. I would rather Buy her another Fleetwood, Finish hers and sell it. I love to paint, but I hate this door alignment stuff... Sheesh! If you still have your Caddy, are you willing to sell it?
Thanks

Speaking of that site, you should work on getting some content up, not just a fancy homepage.

If you need help in that area, I'm decent. :o

Could someone please tell what size rim (5 spoke) and tire that is. I want my FWB to sit just like this one. Thanks in advance.
