Should have been around $3400.00. Wheel sensors are another $220.00.I love mine. These would look great on a black V. I almost bought the six-spoke myself but got the 505's instead.

Please,
Can you put them on your bathroom scale?
Preferably without and with mounted tires?
It would really be interested to get a weight comparo.

as requested

I am a horrible person and didn't weigh a thing. Direct to the car they went. By feel? Significantly lighter (and I've already dropped the runflats). I have also found the dynamic balance of the stockers to be less then desirable. These wheels take very little wieght. Stockers, go look at all the weight stuck on in wierd spots.

Whitelightening,

I new they would look good on a black car. My car rides 50% better with the new wheels and tires. What kind of tires did you end up getting?? I'm assuming you got 19x8.5 front and 19x10 back. I really think John wanted me to get these too, but I really like my 505's. Your car looks great. Of course I now have wheel hop worse than before with the larger tires, how about you??

thats kind of a big rim for a 245/275 combo.

19x8.5 front and 19x10 back
That's all they offer.
All wheels in 19" and 8.5,10,11,12....

I would have gotten their wheels but they stopped answering my questions on their forum so i didn't get them. Only purpose of me getting new wheels is to put bigger rotors and better brakes.

Silver Baron: Called CCW, John didn't not have the weights of the exact V sizes handy, buy a 19x11 is 23.2lbs (Viper application)... so he guessed, the 19x10 would be 22lbs, and 19x8.5 20-21lbs.

Mallett's V-wheel 19x9 is 21lbs.

Stock wheels are 26lbs (according to Mallet, I haven't weight them).

Checked a couple tire weights...most are:
245/40/19's are ~29-30lbs.
275/35/19 are ~32-33lbs.
Though Toyo T1-S is 5lbs lighter per tire!

Not intended as a flame at all... but judging the quality of a product or a company's level of customer support, based only on their 'forum' is not fair.

I called CCW today and talk to John (the owner) for over an hour... he just kept answering all my crazy questions... i talked about his 19" wheels (weights, pricies, he is looking into doing a 19x9), his 18" wheels (which wont clear the V brakes), making a spare for the car (he had some great idea's i'm going to look into, i.e. the viper spare), his SCCA T2 wheels, he told me that GM contracted with him to make the wheels for the original CTS-V test mules (the 6-bolt hubs/brakes were ready before their wheel supplier was, so they had John do some custom wheels for them), etc. etc. Excellent customer service.

very understandable. It's just that it's easier for me to ask on their forum than a phone conversation. However for whatever reason he stopped answering.(i guess i asked way too many question. I just wanted to be sure that when i get aftermarket rotrs and brakes will fit and the wheels are what expected them to be)

John's the man. Only vendor ever to call "me" to see if the wheels and tires fit okay. As soon as he can find a company that will stand behind there chroming (is that a word?), my wheels will be going back. I love the forged look, but these things are a pain to polish. :banghead: If you guys want a quality wheel and quality service, buy from CCW.

Shane, are your CCW wheels clear coated?

ssmith100
07-25-04, 11:32 PM
StealthV,

CCW doesn't do clear coating, to expensive. If I had to do it over again I would have had them chromed. As soon as the tires wear out I'm going to send them back to CCW to be chromed. They look great right now, but you do have to polish.
