Has anyone had to replace their spark plugs in the V6 LY7 yet? I believe you need to remove the top half of the intake manifold to get to them....does anyone have any experience doing this?

I see the gasket kit for the CTS and SRX 3.6 is part 12595277 @ $20 bucks, which is just the upper manifold gasket. The STS kit is $70 and I believe it contains both the upper and lower gaskets. Can I jsut use the SRX 3.6 upper gasket kit or does anyone know the STS upper gasket PN?

In case anyone was curious, you will need to remove the 6 intake bolts, however, only lift up on the intake when you remove the coils.
Took about an hour and a half and I did not need to replace the intake gasket.

Enjoy!

I did this a couple of weeks ago and when I took off the intake manifold the thin metal gasket got out of position and was cracked. I respositioned it and set the manifold back onto the gasket but I am worried that this will cause problems. Should I go through the pain of taking everything off to replace that? I did notice that my MPG (16.7) has been lower than ever.
