Does anyone know the dimension of the Z06 end links? I am thinking about building some adjustable end links and need the dimensions. I just need the bolt CL to bolt CL. This does not need to be exact, just a close measurement.

Thank You. I won't start putting these together for a week or more so don't go to too much trouble.

I want to be on the toe rods, end links, and trailing arms list. Don't really want to drill my hotchs out. They were laying under the desk, thought I would help out.

Thank You for the measurement and picture.

What kind of ends are you looking to put together ?

They will be an adjustable piece and will either have:

Stainless Steel ball joints w' min. grade 8.8 threaded rod.

OR

High Strength Zinc Alloy ball joint w' min. grade 8.8 threaded rod.

This is by far a definite. As short as those Z06 end links are you can barely butt the ball joints up to achieve that measurement. I don't think they need to be that short though. Those are close to 1.5" shorter than the stock pieces. I will see what dimension I can get them down to.

I have a set of C5Z06 endlinks sitting on the shelf.

I can send them to you if you need a set.

I'd just need them back at one point or another, or a set of your new endlinks ;)

Let me know ASAP, I leave for Japan in 2 days, and will be gone for almost 2 weeks.

I should be good with just the dimensions for now. If that changes I will let you know. It will probably be at least 2 weeks before I start this venture. Thank You though.

What year are these Z06 End links?

And someone has adjustable ones now too?

I think they are '02 and up endlinks. '01 is different if I remember correctly. I bought a set from a forum member and was going to install them but I didn't and they are just sitting in the garage now. While they are much more solid than our stock pieces, they are not the same length so they will put some preload on the sways which is not the way to go.

AAIIIC mentioned that Power grid (powergridinc.com) makes some adjustable ones. This would be nice so you can dial out the preload and have some strong endlinks. My stock ones didn't put any preload in with my KW set up but when/if they break I will pick up a set of adjustables.

Wow, here is an old thread :D

Just in case you are insterested:

While I was in Japan, there was an earthquake.

I ended up using the C5 Z06 endlinks, when I lowered my car.

The end.
