: 05 CTS-V NAV Map Disc Issues?

As of this past Monday, I am a new CTS-V owner. I love the car so far, but haven't been able to figure out the setup of the NAV system. I was given a map disk version 6.0, part number: 25813529. I loaded the disk, agreed to the terms, and waited for everything to load up. Once I agree to the terms, 5 minutes later, a screen appears with a jumbled background (I assume it's in the process of loading the maps), while there is a red arrow which is tracking the direction I'm driving. Now maybe there is so much to load that I'm being impatient, but I've waited 45 minutes a couple times for the maps to load, and nothing more happens than getting that jumbled background.

Has anyone else had an issues with the disc not loading completely? Or maybe someone can chime in and let me know how long approximately it should take to load? I've done a few searches and didn't come across this particular issue, so I apologize if this has been discussed before in the past. I'm hoping that it's just my impatience.

Sounds like your nav unit is hosed.

If you can find anyone (dealer included) that has a CTS or V with the DVD nav system you can try your disc in their unit or vice versa.

That's exactly the problem....I'm getting it replaced this week under warranty. I love Certified vehicles. Thanks!
