Does anybody know, if a 1999 Bose HU can be replaced by a 2002 Bose Navi (25740478) ?
If it is possible, do I have to change any connectors or just plug and play?

Sure, this mod has been done by many members. Do an advanced search with "navigation" as the search term and "CadillacSTS2003" as the user name. You will find everything you need to know. I am in the final stages of the conversion myself, but the head unit I bought needs a software install. Evidently, the flash memory that holds the system software can only be without power for a limited amount of time before the memory gets lost.

Thank you Chazglenn3 for this realy helpfull hint!
I did searching before but didnt use the correct keywords... :bang2:
But it is very difficult to find a perfect how to, so I am still a little confused.
I have an 1999 "EXPORT" STS and just bought an 2002 European Navi including the changer. I would like to have an auxilairy input for an MP3 player also.
Maybe "CadillacSTS2003" can give me detailed instructions? Please?:bows:
Soldering isnt a problem, but I dont want to f*** the hole thing up.
So every help is highly appreciated.
