View Full Version : IS-F Owner Paying Mad Respect! I couldn't wait any longer so I puchased a new IS-F last year, and although it's been a great car, I do wish it had more power. I hope you guys are enjoying your new monster, and I look forward to learning more and fallowing a car I plan on getting used a couple years down the line (maybe).:worship: wait4me 05-13-09, 11:50 PM :) Welcome.
I have been looking at the lexas Is-f actually. It looks to be a very well built and thought out car. I saw my first one while at our booth in sema last year, it was right outside the door on the engine dyno giving dyno runs NONSTOP the whole week! I was amazed that they didnt break anything. I lost count of the dyno pulls. It was just amazing. I kind of liked how the rpms climb alot for each downshift. It was pretty cool. I like the looks of it also. colbachlaw 05-14-09, 12:07 AM Jess,
Not to get off topic, but are you going to SEMA this year?
Liter bikes sidetracked me from cars for 5 years, but my survival instinct has turned me back to cars.
I am thinking about going this year, as I haven't been to SEMA since 2004.
Mike C wait4me 05-14-09, 12:31 AM Yes we have a booth every year for that past 6 years i think. :) It would be nice of all the caddy guys to come around. Usually i build something cool for the booth. Just not sure what im gunna have there this year.. I couldn't wait any longer so I puchased a new IS-F last year, and although it's been a great car, I do wish it had more power. The back seat is unuseable unless your 5 or under.

November 2007 I actually put a deposit down on an IS-F, but once it was confirmed that the 2009 CTS-V was coming out I got my deposit back without hassle and I drove down the street and got on the waiting list for the CTS-V. When the first IS-F came into the Lexus dealership in Feb. 2008 they called me to see if I wanted it and I told them I was going to wait for my CTS-V to come in. I indeed had to wait for my V, but it was well worth the wait. *************************************

Tad spendy? I got a fully loaded F out the door for 56k....10 grand below sticker:thumbsup:........and that was before the car crisis hit......new F's can be had for under 50k with 2,000 miles!
I'm single..........no backseat required and the V's seats don't fold down either so........who knows
oh no gas guzzler either...........and I'm averaging over 24 mpg! 10,000 below sticker means WAY below invoice- hearing things like this continues to negate the "American cars don't hold their value" comments from the foriegn contingent so prevelant in other forums. And before the current crisis....wow! Tad spendy? I got a fully loaded F out the door for 56k....10 grand below sticker:thumbsup:........and that was before the car crisis hit......new F's can be had for under 50k with 2,000 miles!

Awesome, sounds like we both got a great deal and are very happy with our cars! How come you guys haven't started modding your V's yet? 600 rwhp can't be that far away:thumbsup: Razorecko 05-15-09, 01:33 AM ^ its not and we've only had the car for a few months :yup: |
