That one on ebay is not a V grille, it's a Vogue (E&G) grille. Looks like a V grille, but is more expensive. The V grille is $174.44 from gmpartsdirect.com, plus shipping and handling (~$209.44 total).

The CTS-V lower grill does not fit the regular CTS front end. You could probably get the E&G lower grill sections and they would probably match.

I tried to purchase a V Grille from gmpartsdirect.com and they cancelled my order. Apparently, they are on back order. I finally got it from a dealer in Montana that shipped it to me. Let me know if you want their email address. It came to $215 with shipping.

Contact Bob Wendorff at Parts@FitchnerChevrolet.com or call 406-628-4121. Bob and this dealership are VERY service oriented and he will take care of all yoiur needs. CTS XTC

can i jsut go to my local dealers parts department and ask for the v grill and get it there, even if its backordered from gmpartsdirect.com? If i have to I will contact one of the dealers you guys mentioned, but if i can get it through my local one that would be better. Oh yeah, one more thing, how was the install? Simple bolt up? seems like those e and g grills require a little drilling...i hate drilling any type of hole in my car.

I also got it from Fichtner Chevrolet in Montana. The dealer by me said it would take forever if they ordered it. I live in NY and I got the grille shipped from Montana in about 1 week.

Fitchner's distributor is in Denver and as of a few weeks ago they had almost 100 grilles in stock. Give Bob a try, he is a great guy and will get it to you promptly. I also had mine in about a week, shipped from Montana.
I am a somewhat mechanically challenged guy and had only minor problems with the install. No drilling required; new grille fits in the existing holes. Only difficult part was the grille and bumper are assembled before being put on the car and the fasteners on the bottom come up from the bottom, so you have to bend the grille a bit to get a screwdriver under there; but it is flexible plastic so not a problem. Good luck, IMHO it looks 100% better. RON CTS XTC

When putting on the v-grill, do you also have to replace the chrome accent piece above the grill? The reason I ask is because the factory trim piece doesn't extend beyond the original grill. The trim surround(that goes around the sides and bottom) which comes with the v-grill wouldn't line up with that piece correctly.

Not sure what you are talking about. It all comes together nicely.

If you look at the picture of the SRX in the banner at the top of this page, you can see what I'm talking about. The chrome piece on top extends beyond the grill so that it meets up properly with the surround trim. The factory piece on my CTS ends right at the edge of the grill, so, if I put on the surround accent, I don't see how it would meet up. :hmm:

I just went to my garage to verify this and it all lines up. I must be missing something you are trying to tell me or ask me???:hmm: CTS XTC
