I've poked through this forum and seen no real definitive guide to the sizes of the speakers in this model of car, nor any real details on how to get the front door panels off.

Can anyone who has performed this provide some insight into this? I'm almost positive that there are more members besides me who would like to know as well.

My real questions are these - rumours that the fromts are 5 1/4's - thiscan't be true! The grille looks as if there is a 4" behind it! And doesn't anybody make speaker pods that can go in the front door panels?

Check out my "1996 deville door panel removal" post in the same forum, it may be helpful cause I figured out how to remove my panels. Also my car had 5 1/4" speakers, even though the door panel made them look smaller. Just put in my Infinity Kappa components too......5 1/4" perfect fit.

I have a 94 deville.
The speakers in the doors are 5 1/4, the ones in the rear dash are 6x9 and there is one in the center of the front dash (below the grille) that is a 6x4.
To remove the door speakers you need to remove the door covers, there is a couple of screws and a bunch of clips you need to deal with. Funny thing is I don't remember where the screws are. Let me take alook at the doors tomorrow and I'll let you know.
