Msilva954 07-13-04, 09:26 AM Its a work of art with those two intakes......Id love to see it Turboed or Supercharged.. Blackout 07-13-04, 11:17 AM I love how GM is saying with the STS-V that its going after the M5 but what they don't say is that its going to be the old M5 and not this new V10 M5. Once again GM is playing catch up to other car companies old technology. c5 rv 07-13-04, 07:26 PM Very good, but at what price point. Probably north of $100K. I hope they don't add complex electronic controls that take you eyes off the road for 10 minutes trying to figure it out. illumina 07-13-04, 08:51 PM i would like to add one thing here...GM has always done well with the standard pushrod v-8, making 400 hp with the current ls6 engine. i believe that the next z06 vette will be 475 +, all while keeping 8 cylinders and pushrods. guess what BMW has to do? go to 10 cylinders to beat those wimpy chevy motors.:D. what im trying to say is, it just amazes me what GM has done with that limited technology, while other auto makers have to go a step above to make the same effect. (ok not really measily) I thought the CTS-V had more than this? It might make for a good drag race though. :D Msilva954 07-14-04, 10:26 AM This car really comes in at top end though.....I hear they get it to 205mph....not bad for a 4 door....Id love to see the look on the Ferrari's owners face at 205mph on the A6.HAHAH Ralph 07-15-04, 03:19 AM This car really comes in at top end though.....I hear they get it to 205mph....not bad for a 4 door....Id love to see the look on the Ferrari's owners face at 205mph on the A6.HAHAH Everytime I see a cars numbers and the torque number is lower than the hp, I suspect they had top end in mind. Msilva954 07-15-04, 04:07 PM Same here......I feel that BMW wanted praise on that more then the 0-60.....but they are getting into the turbo game again...so well see. gothicaleigh 07-15-04, 09:55 PM I hope GM has a V10 up their sleeve! http://www.thecarconnection.com/index.asp?article=7289&sid=184&n=157 Actually, they have a Northstar V10 that has been in development for a while now...
