I have finally decided to go ahead and add some 1.6 roller rockers to my engine.
Engine is a 383 with GM Fast Burn Heads. LT4 HotCam.
I will post results and pictures once complete. Maybe we can get a thread dedicated to our own engine mods.
:)
asically you are running the ZZ383 except you are using the LT4 Hotcam.
Check out this thread.

Lets you fuel whatever you want. I run this in my 97 Vortec 350 reg cab shorty.
And a PCM update(no more 5900rpm rev limit as is forund on the 1996-2000 blackbox PCM's.)

Essentially that's what it is. As far as the PCM, just bout a OBDII conversion from dynamicefi.com It lets you :flash on the go" and gives you a "heads up" display via laptop.
All the work is done and the rockers are a great compliment to the engine. Pulls hard until around 6000. As soon as I fugure out how to post pics I will.

One thing for sure, the roller tips are easier on valve guides, as opposed to the stamped types, which sort of push valves side-ways somewhat. I never use stock stamped rockers on a rebuild.
6000 rpm sounds like a nice number:)
