I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone had a similar problem or any suggestions. I recenly took my '04 Esclade to the dealer to have this fixed and all they did was lube the steering shaft. The spring-like noise has not gone away. The sound is not that loud and is noticable when the audio is off or low. I only have 1300 miles on my vehicle, so I would expect it to not have any rattling noises this early.

I think I have the same problem. Mine sounds like a little rattle coming from the steering colunm. I have about 8,000 miles on my 03 Ext. So all they did was lube the steering colunm and that fixed it?

Have you tried going to another dealer/service station?

I have the same problem, havenīt taked it to the dealer here in Mexico, I am waiting to go to the USA to have it checked in a Texas Cadillac dealer. Any more comments on the cause of this problem or how to fix this would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,
