Yesterday I had the DOT# fluid changed on my 88. Now the red brake warning light stays on on the instrument cluster. There are no other messages such as "ABS Disabled". The brakes were properly bled, the fluid level is correct and the brake peddle pressure feels good. I made sure the emergency brake was not set. The Technician that did the work couldn't troubleshoot it and said he thought it may clear itself. Does anyone have any ideas?? I also had the plugs changed, new O2 sensors and the car runs like new. This brake light has the potential to drive me nuts. Moose

That would be DOT3 not DOT#

Pump the brake pedal at least 25 times, car off. Then recheck the fluid level in the master. I'll bet its slightly low. The float will drop in the master cap and correctly turn on the red "brake" light with no adverse effects in brake function.
