I have a 92 sedan Deville that keeps missing and backfiring. I've changed all the plugs,wires,and cap, I"ve even changed the o2 sencer! I need help! Bigkhiggs
first, do a diagnostic check on the car. to do that, turn the ignition to the "on position" , but dont fire the engine. go to the climate controll panel, find the off and warmer buttons on the CC panel. push both at the same time, you will then see all lights on the dash light up, followed by some codes at the fuel controll center. read those codes carefully and copy them down NUMBER FOR NUMBER. after that, post them here in this thread and we will tell you what they mean, and we'll work from there.

If you go to caddyinfo.com they have detailed information on how to access the on board diagnostics and have what the codes mean also. The caddy computer is pretty good at reporting what:) is wrong with the car.
