The Red indicator position indicator on the gearshift on my 1994 STS does not indicate the right gear.It will be off center or while I select drive it would be between at an angle between drive and neutral the open end visible pointing up to neutral on the drivers side.If i move the gearshift around it can be corrected but will do it again. This happens when I select other gears as well.Is something broken or can I remedy the problem myself without pouring out a lot of money.Any advise or help in this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks
John

I'm not sure if the 94 & 95 have the same type of shifter set-up, but mine did the same thing. Once I got the assy. out, I found that the red indicator is a piece of plastic with 2 pins which go through the sliding metal strip. One of the pins is broken allowing the indicator to pivot. The sliding metal strip on mine had a couple extra holes in it (Still can't figure that one out) so I just pulled it out till I can get another one
