I have just bought an Escalade 2003 - 24,992 miles, black exterior, grey interior, sunroof, 1 owner, perfect condition. Paid $34,900 cash in upstate New York.

I have a few questions (any feedback is much appreciated).

1) Not that I tell people how much this truck costs, but when I research I found out that this vehicle would normally go for around $40,406 (composite average from 16 great resources). I tell you how much I paid b/c I wanted to know if you think I got a good buy???

2) I also own a 2002 MB S600 and 2001 Navigator (wife's) and I must say...this truck is sick! It is literally my favorite vehicle now! What does anyone NOT like about their EXT's (remember, I have 2003 so maybe 2004 has improved some flaws). The only thing I don't like is where the clock is...why the hell is it down there??? Not a bad flaw though.

3) Any other comments??? Not to reiterate, but this truck is hands-down worth every cent and I love it!

Congrats on the new buy. With that low milage you got a steal. I had an chance to buy a 2002 Escalade with 50k on the clock and they wanted 35k. Enjoy the ride...

you got a great deal. i paid more for my '02 with more miles, and i paid under what the average was for mine. is it certified pre-owned?

i love mine and have had no major issues. (and i like the clock where it is :) )

What eats more gas, the escalade or the S600?

I've never seen an '03 with that few miles for less than $37K, and I think that was a RWD base Escalade.

Wow thats a great buy! The only complaint I have is that the rear cargo door does not lock by power. You would think that a $5ok+ truck would come with a power lock tailgate?

i've thought the same thing. ihope they change that some day. and also i wish the seating compartment was about 2" longer. i have to move my seats up a little to fold the rear seats down. if it was an inch maybe two longer, it would be no problem.
