Any ideas from users of this forum?

HI,
I have a '92 FWD 4.9 that has a hesitation on accelerating, it has new plugs, new cat. converter, looks like previous owner just did gas tank,fuel lines,and filter. Tried injector cleaner in tank, still having the issue. No chk engine lights come on...
It does sound like there is an exhaust leak near the motor, maybe exhaust manifold? I there a known issue with this? The last owner had the head gaskets done and maybe they didnt get the manifold sealed right.

I ran the self check and get the following codes:
E
E52 , E74

FF
F46, F47

The intake manifold air temp sensor is acting up. That is the sensor screwed into the intake manifold at the right front corner of the intake manifold. (passenger side, rearward edge of intake). Check the connector for corrosion/looseness/wires broken and/or replace the IAT sensor.


E74....Intake Manifold Air Temp sensor (or MAT) intermittant failure.

F46...low AC refrigerant
F47...very low AC refrigerant

Sounds like you need to charge the AC,too.
