Today my father and I went and took the 1959 Fleetwood out of storage and brought it to my house. Needless to say I was having the time of my life. I would have loved to take the 1959 Eldorado Biarritz out but there was a pool of motor oil and ATF fluid on the floor under it. We're gonna flatbed that one to the garage next week and see if the engine and trans need to be re-built. But anyway the ride on these things is awesome. It's like your just gliding down the road on air. If it feels this good today I can only imagine what it felt like brand new in 1959. There are some pics of the Eldo in the pictures section of this forum and I'll snap some shots of the Fleetwood if you guys want em. :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy:

It's a 1959 Fleetwood. All Original matching #s. Black w/ two-tone black and white interior. Mileage is original. Everything, including the AM radio, works.:2thumbs:

I don't know about you, but my dad and I have always measured Cadillac trunks by the "dead body count" method. The 1959 could hold 3 easily, where as our last Deville (2000) we figured 2 whole ones and one dismembered. I don't know what possessed him to instill this in me, but I've never thought of a Cadillac trunk any other way.

:coolgleam I saw this in Car & Driver a while ago, Cadillac stands for Carrying A Dead Italian Lying Lifeless Amongst Cargo. At the Caddy dealer I worked at 20 years ago, the (now deceased) elderly owner had a silver '59 like yours and a '40 he kept inside the dealership. I still see the '59 at local cruises occasionally. Sweet car you have!

I love it. And being 100% Italian it is quite fitting.

Complete with the parade boot too, nice. Now only if those were the optional factory wire wheels.
