OK, it's probably an American ad agency. We're known for being snarky. Rodya234 04-14-09, 08:23 AM Now I still like Audi's more then BMW's............... but that's probably the funniest thing I'll see all day :histeric: ryannel2003 04-14-09, 10:38 AM Awesome. Some advertising guru deserves a chicken dinner. :D Florian 04-14-09, 04:48 PM a public bitchslapping.....truly a genius move. Bravo! F Playdrv4me 04-14-09, 04:54 PM In Tampa we have had a long rivalry between two liquor store chains. One is Total Beer and Wine, the other is ABC Wine and Spirits. In one part of town they are literally no more than a block apart, and Total Beer and Wine just happened to have a full size advertising billboard RIGHT ABOVE their store. ABC Wine and Spirits rented the billboard and plastered the following on it along with their logo: "BAIT AND SWITCH PRICING IS TOTALLY BENEATH US." The Tony Show 04-14-09, 07:00 PM ^ that's funny. As far as the BMW/Audi thing, the Audi dealer walked right into that one. One of the rules of advertising (or even on the Internet) is to consider what your response would be if someone threw the same comment at you. They obviously didn't think that one out too well. Playdrv4me 04-14-09, 07:28 PM ^ that's funny. As far as the BMW/Audi thing, the Audi dealer walked right into that one. One of the rules of advertising (or even on the Internet) is to consider what your response would be if someone threw the same comment at you. They obviously didn't think that one out too well. I wish I had taken a picture of it when it was still there. In fact, If I'm not mistaken ABC still has an ad on there but it's something different now. It appears as though the Audi ad in the above photo is actually Audi corporate, where-as the other ad appears to be the local BMW dealer's way of cleverly capitalizing on Audi's lack of forethought. ShadowLvr400 04-14-09, 10:35 PM Rofl! Nice ad. Sinister Angel 04-14-09, 10:43 PM I've seen the audi ad locally, so it's national. gdwriter 04-15-09, 01:28 AM a public bitchslapping.....truly a genius move. Bravo!Public bitchslapping. :smack: Yet another great F statement. Sandy 04-15-09, 07:12 PM I personally would purchase a new foreign car, just not a Asian one, nor a German one. I would buy a S80 or S8-R Volvo or a Saab 9.3 AERO, or Jaguar XJ or XK. blue07cts 04-16-09, 07:11 PM hahahahahahahahahhahahaha!!!! V-Eight 04-17-09, 11:26 PM That's awesome, my friend is gonna love this OffThaHorseCEO 04-19-09, 04:58 AM saw this on another forum, and this is audi's come back... youll notice its the same sign just a different angle http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/billboards-006_opt.jpg Rodya234 04-19-09, 05:15 AM ^ I don't think BMW has anything on the R8. :thepan: Jesda 04-19-09, 06:06 AM Your badge may have expired... was that written by someone in accounting? Rodya234 04-19-09, 06:22 AM Audi's good at making vehicles. Jokes...............not so much. :bigroll: | |
