Thank God for Texas Justice!!! We got the kind of neighbors that if they see this happening we ain't calling the cops. We open up a case of WHOOP-@$$. Then we call the cop and claim the guy kept taking a header into the sidewalk :D

I'm talkin' about my favorite movie, as in "Massacre." I love a country where if you are qualified, you can actually get a carry permit for a firearm. I am qualified up the ying-yang and only a judge, RCMP, or Armed Guard can carry. I watch American news and if someone escapes from a prison down in Texas, they post a warning on TV so you guys can protect yourself. That's great, what do they do in Canada, they tell you on the news after they catch them. More proof OUR government doesn't care about us!

They care more for the bears perhaps? I know you meant the movie but I couldn't resist. As for arming yourself down here.......you still got to go thru political BS before you get the conceal handgun permit then you aren't permitted to 3/4 of the businesses here. The funny thing is that by law I don't have to tell the business that I got a weapon on me. I know this because my father is a concealed handgun instructor and guess who is always in his classes for demonstration :D Nothing like shooting my Colt .45 with a laser scope into a target to my hearts content. Only he can beat my score. Then again I was never trained by the Army to shoot in the Olympics like he was.Now Arizona allows you to carry a pistol so long as it's out in the open. Kinda like them old gunfighter holsters.

Ah, you are just complaining about the measily three day waiting period to get approved, that's nothing! I took a safety course in 1978, then 2 years ago the safety course again, and a "prohibited" weapons course as well. The terminology here is nuts, they call a pistol or revolver "restricted" if the barrel length is over 4 inches, and "prohibited" if under 4 in. You can still have them mind you, but if you had a pistol barrel length shorter than 4 inches prior to 2000, then you can get another short length one today. My Ruger P-85 was 4.5 inches, so the government does not allow or trust me to have one today!! How's that for logic?! For an armed guard job I had for a while (a large American security firm) we actually had a Navy Seal train us on 38 S&W and Remington 12 ga. It was a lot of fun and I finished 2nd in the class. Saskatchewan farm boys are and were well respected in WW2 for their ability to shoot. The whole Vietnam thing with the "spray and pray" just doesn't cut it if you ask me.

:offtopic: << Hey this doesn't show up?

I split it from another thread in CTS since it was no longer about car damage but how to obtain a gun permit.

This is why I hate to move or split threads. It just confuses everybody.

Yeah, that was a tough call. But the way I see it is that most of us look for new posts, not individual threads.

It would help if you put in the first reply that Ralph entered. The one about how them vandals got away clean. I would have done that. Otherwise it confuses a bunch of folks.

"Sorry about your damage Dude! As for people not taking responsibility your right. 7 years ago I reported a person walking along the street and periodically stopping at a random car and kicking in the car windows! There was a cop who lived right across the street and he was up at the time and did nothing! I called the police and described the person to a T. Three months later I get a subpeona and had to go to court. He got off because he got a haircut and dressed like the 5 friends he brought with him so I could not point him out! I wasted 45 minutes on the stand and the POS defence lawyer was so hard on me the judge had to commend me for being there, and I got an apology from the lawyer. Everyone knew he did it. Case of vandal winning again! It is very difficult or impossible to catch anyone doing these things."

If you put this at the beginning then it helps folks understand.

I can't do it now, only Sal can.

Sorry. I won't split them anymore, unless they get out of hand.
