View Full Version : One Ugly 09 CTS-V readyact 04-05-09, 02:48 PM Ha-ha made ya look:
FRONT 20 X 9 REAR 20 X 10 SV1 Forged sitting on Nitto Invo 255/35/20 & 285/30/20 tires.
First let me say the folks at SV1 Forged wheels took great care of me. There were some issues with the build of the wheel and build time due to the newness of the V2, but my minor pain is your gain. Joseph (sales), Juan (owner) and Carina were kept me well informed throughout the entire build process. First we were going to go with 20 X 11s on the rear, but the lead engineer thought that may cause a rubbing effect if I ever had a load on the rear of the vehicle. Then we were going to go with 20 X 10.5s, but again just to be on the safe side we went with the 20 X 10s. I am very happy with the setup of the SV1 wheels and the Invo tires. As far as the build/construction of the wheels they are top flight and I don’t anticipate having any trouble. For anyone looking for custom wheels for your V2 I highly recommend the SV1 Forged wheels. I believe Dr. Chill has a discount reserved for the build of some wheels at a great price so you should contact him (I screwed up and ordered the wheels before I saw Dr. Chill’s post).

Olde, speaking of sweet, just got back from Scott Pratt in Michigan.
2680 miles back home with my V.
Love Wyoming with legal 85 Speed limit.
I was slowest one on road, at just over that/
Ran from snow in Salt Lake, and won.
Heard that your Nash is ready Trans damm 06-15-09, 09:20 PM IMO the stock wheels are the biggest let down on the v2. They give the car no stance at all. Nice job. Prob the nicest v2 I have seen so far Are you going to put a spoiler on it? I like the one you have on top but I think a rear spoiler would match even better. Calipers look sharp, You have to get a pic of that rolling i'm sure that we look real slick thebigjimsho 06-15-09, 11:40 PM but where's teh swayde?? Olde, get the floor mats first..... they are great Harry_Wild 06-16-09, 03:24 AM Nice job - looks like a "Pimp My Ride" episode. Don't you wish all CTSs were that good looking! Tony407 06-16-09, 04:55 AM Can you get a side profile, from a distance?
Perhaps you need to lower the car and get rid of the wheel gap? I think those wheels accentuate the gap, and without it it might look a little cleaner.
Of course, all that matters is if YOU like them.
Good job!! And I like the window spoiler.
Tony I never liked black rims but with that chrome accent those rims look great.:worship::thumbsup: 1BlinkGone 06-17-09, 06:58 PM I never liked black rims but with that chrome accent those rims look great.:worship::thumbsup:
+1. To me black wheels of any style look hideous on most anything...but those I will make an exception. Nicely done. I'm not sure they'd work for me, but I DO like them.
Trans damm- I'm kinda on the fence with that. I kinda like the OEM's, but I dislike them more than I DO like them. Does that make sense? To me, it's not the stance per se', it's the lack of perceived depth due to the flatness of the rim & spoke surface. There's no 3-dimensionality to them...maybe this translates to the lack of stance you mention. LUVMY04V 06-18-09, 09:01 AM You Need these (I have them and they are very durable) Btw the car looks kickass!
