ok i got a high idle i thought my air flow sensor is bad or Idle Air Control valve i got a few codes so maybe someone could point me in the right direction to why i have a high idle so i can get the right part. the car is a 97 eldorado (i put the ones in bold i thought could be causing the problems)

also the idle is high at start up also alot of this happened after i cleaned my throttle body

Check your work. make sure that the linkage is not binding. Maybe clean it again. Pay attention to the throttle plate perimeter. That is where it seals against the TB bore. Also check the over pressurization valve at the other end of the manifold.

it was the air flow sensor

MAF sensor? How did that cause a high idle?

Nope......that was an old History code. Not the problem.

Should have cleared everything and started from scratch and completed a week of driving cycles. (Unless this code list is from after the MAF change, but unless you mechanically break a MAF unit, they're pretty reliable.)

The EGR codes are suspect.

How high was the idle at startup ?? 1,250 is normal for 20 seconds.......

yeah it was when i was cleaning the throttle body some of the cleaner got on it. i replaced it and no more high idle car runs better too
