Hi, I have a 96 STS with the bose stereo. Today I tried to play a CD and when I hit the CD button, the display froze. I Turned it off and when I pressed the button back in, the antenna went up but the display stayed the same (i.e. just the time is displayed, nothing else).
Turning on / off radio didn't help, or anything else I tried. Is my radio dead or are their some fixes I can try?
Thanks,
jon.

Check your fuses first to see if it popped one, if the fuses all test out good then check out this link and see if it helps you out. :)

Thanks! It was the fuse. I just wish it was easier to climb in the back of my trunk in the middle of the night - I would have done it then and slept better. Alas, darkness is a powerful deterrent to car work.

yeah God knows i know what you mean. many times my 1980 will break down or something in it will break, and i'll WANT to replace it, but it's not practical to replace it when it's dark ;) and i always find it hard to sleep knowing there's a problem in my car that i want to fix but can't at the moment
