If anyone feels like wasting an hour reading a post I made on another forum, I could really use some help:


I figure by posting this you guys will have a nice background and possibly be able to contribute more to fixing my problem.

I would start by changing the voltage regulator if you haven't already done so. Get an electronic version (I think they are all electronic now). Really nothing to gain by changing to an internally regulated alternator unless you need more power to runs amps or something. The externally regulated alternators are marginally more reliable because the electronic parts that fail most often are not inside the very hot alternator. Note that it sounds like you have the 63amp alt and if that is the case you need the 63a regulator which is a little more expensive.
