Wow - that price should include headers, high flow cats, and the exhaust... does it? Or is this just for the mufflers?

headers alone cost an easy $1000 because it's a new car.

Guys,

This is the kit that Corsa is releasing for the 2009 CTS-V. It is JUST the mufflers or it is considered an axle back muffler kit. This is the same kit that others are selling for: $1450.00. We thought we could offer the same product to you for a couple hundred dollars less. If Corsa set the distributor price at a lower level, we would have these mufflers listed at a lower price.

If we can get a good number of orders, I can probably get you guys a lower price INCLUDING FREE SHIPPING! If we can get at least 5 confirmed orders, we can probably offer them at around: $1199.95 SHIPPED! That is around $300.00 less than what others are offering them for.

Headers like American Racing or Kooks will easily run around $1,500.00-$2,000.00.

We are not offering the headers as of yet, but we are looking into carrying the American Racing brand.

I hope this answers your questions.

Let us know if you need any other info. We will post pics of the mufflers as soon as possible.

Thanks!

Guys,

We also have the American Racing Headers for the 2009 CTS-V available. We can get them shipped out today!

Price...$1399.95 for the full long tube header kit WITH high flow cats.

The American Racing header kit will go great with the Corsa muffler system, so you can install everything at the same time for a nice smooth "turn-key" system.

SG, with all due respect, $ 1200-1300 for a axle back (not full cat back) system is insane.

I had a hard enough time swallowing the V1 Corsa catback for the same price, I'm not biting on just mufflers and pipes for the same amount.

Again, I know it's not your fault, but someone needs to tell Corsa to get real.

I'll stick with the stockers, thanks.

I hear ya, bro, but nobody else has them and they sound great! With the headers, they will sound wild!

I am gonna install both along with W4M's air box mod and get it dyno tuned. I am sure it will pick-up some good power and a nice aggressive sound to boot.

As far as I know, nobody makes them for our cars.

I don't disagree that it's a little expensive, as it's just the mufflers, but come on...this is a ~$62k+ performance machine.

The cost of the exhaust is tiny by comparison...

Luna,

I feel the same way as well. The car needs MORE power and the cost for the amount of power you can get is not that much compared to other cars in our power range.

I can't wait to get everything installed and dyno tuned!

I will report back when I am done with my testing!

Guys....this is all about preferences. I bought this car as pure fun and I have the corsa mufflers on my car right now and all I can tell you is I love driving the car even more now. I love being able to hear the exhaust amped up and still be able to hear the whine up front. For you guys that don't love a great exhaust note don't buy it, those that do SHOULD. I can promise you if you thought you got good reviews out driving around and looks before - triple it. Everyone wants to see the car now.:cloud9:

Any actual gains, or is this just for sound?

also, can the stock ecu/dme maintain proper air/fuel with these, or is a recalibration necessary in conjunction with the install?

According to Paul at Corsa, they picked up some good power with just the muffler swap and that is why they are offering just the mufflers instead of a full cat-back system. I will post gains as soon as I get the published results.

A tune or a custom dyno tune is not necessary for just a muffler swap, however if you do a cold air intake, headers AND mufflers, it would benefit you greatly if you had the car dyno tuned to extract every bit of power/torque out of the car.

I would hardly call it "tiny". I'm looking at value. It was hard to substantiate the Corsa on the V1 when you compared it to the Magnaflow or the BB or whatever, and I know the Corsa is made better, but $ 1300 for mufflers? Wow.

I don't have a ton of money to throw at this car right now with the economy and all, I'm trying to be smart about things. So I can get my car clear bra'd and window tinted for the same money as the Corsa. Then throw in an extra set of wheels and tires for next winter to the tune of $ 1500 or so, and that puts the Corsa on the chopping block for now.

I'll also give it 6 months to a year and see what other exhausts are out there and then maybe make a decision. I am FAR from disappointed in the stock exhaust, I think GM did a nice job with it.

To each his own.

Yeah, I do think that they did a decent job at the stock exhaust, but the Corsa just sounds that much better.

As far as "tiny," yeah I agree that it's a subjective word, but it's what---~2% of the cost of the entire car?

Ehhh, yeah, I'd probably call that very small, if not tiny.

Well, you can't compare it to the price of the car, that's not fair. Most of us finance the car in some way because we don't have the cash. To plunk down $ 1300 on mufflers to any reasonable person is......well not tiny or even very small. $ 1300 is a lot of money, especially today.

But, if people want to spend that kind of cash on a sound only mod, then knock your socks off. Hell, I did it on my V1 but at least I got a full cat-back.

the V tax is as bad as the vette tax :hide::hide:

but what can we do the manuf. sets the price and if you want it bad enough they know you will pay it

+1: $1300 for two mufflers is a bit ridiculous.

No flame to you for being the middleman, and discounting the mufflers is certainly appreciated, but as a reference point I had a Corsa cat-back on my Jeep SRT-8, puchased when they first came out in 2007. The system included dual pipes from the cats back, X-pipe, 2 resonators, and 2 mufflers for $1100 shipped.

I suggest that you tell Corsa that a bunch of us would love to get their mufflers, but they either need to be priced realistically, or include a full cat-back at this price.

This car runs great with the stock exhaust, aside from the "drone", which is mostly resolved with the W4M tune, there is no incentive at all to change it for $650 per muffler just to enhance the sound.

Guys,

If we can get a group purchase going, I can get the price down as low as possible. If we could get at least 10 of you to place an order, I could get the price SO LOW, NOBODY would be able to touch it or at least willing to want to. Trust me, the price will be worth it!

I got 3 orders so far.

Let us know.

Thanks!

FYI guys. This is an awesome price for the American Racing Headers. The cheapest I found was about $1800.00. That was on Henessey's website. I talked to the guy at American Racing about these headers, and he said the car will be louder with these long tubes and stock mufflers. He suggested that I just put the header on first, and if I wanted a louder sound, to go with the Corsa axle back. I'm trying to save some money to get these headers. Supposedly these headers with a Cold air intake and a tune will get you 50+hp. FTW!

Tuan,

Give us a shout when you need the Corsa mufflers, but yes, for the most aggressive sound, the AR headers and Corsa will sound simply wicked!

We are also offering the best price on the Corsa mufflers even though it is still a pricey item. There is nothing we can do about that. Corsa is the one making the mufflers.
