2000 seville only had 1 key for both Door and Eginition and trunk
it was also the Transponder key

iv hunted threw every cadillac key for a 2000 seville on Ebay and they are all those knock off aftermarket keys

i want to find one with the Caddy Crest or logo on it not the ones that are those aftermaket kesy

ive never had a problem with the aftermarket keys.

I've always used them as emergency backup keys

Saw this morning this is a lot of 2 of them on eBay, still in original factory GM bags ending tonight I believe for an 00 thru 05 Seville.

Probably because it would be brand infringement as well as the older keys (don't know about the new ones) had the little chip built into the ignition key so that could play a part I'm guessing. I'd say just to go to your Caddy dealership ad see what they have

This key has a chip inside the logo area that needs to be programmed to the car. This is the Pass-Key 3 system. To program it, you put the new key in the ignition, hold an old key next to it, and start the car. The new key is programmed.

I think Blackout is thinking of the Pass-Key 2 system with a resistor exposed on the length of the key.

maybe my vision is bad but it looks like they are aftermaket becouse the original keys woould have a logo on each side and those dont and also doesnt look like the crest on them even though they are packaged not sure

The original black keys have the crest on one side only. The other side is smooth, and the shank is stamped "PK3". The gray valet key has a circle with "Valet" in it on both sides and is also stamped "PK3" on the shank.

If you go to the site and scroll down to the bottom you'll see that they were original keys in original wrapping with correct part numbers.

ok cool thanks i did not even notice that when i was looking at my key i just know the the dealer kept one key so thats why i need second key he kept one becouse he financed me personaly for 2 years so if he has to repo the car ever he wanted to be able to get it with a key
so i only ge the other key once i pay the car off

i just looked at my key and it has the logo on both sides
thinks and wonders to myself did they change it by the time you got your keys or somthing

Anyone know offhand how much a PassKey II (with the resistor chip exposed) would cost at the dealership? I want a second one - my ETC only came with the one, though it did have two door keys. I also only have one key fob (#2), but that's fine with me. I just don't want to be up a creek if I lose my one and only "fire 'er up!" key.
