I got a ticket a few days ago for tinted windows...Anyone on here that can sign off on the ticket? or know any "cool" cops in the south bay San Jose or surrounding areas?

You gotta understand.......Californians expect to be bailed out of their mistakes. It's your duty: support their weird ideas.

Around here you get a choice. The trooper hands you a razor blade and you either take the tint off yourself or he has the car towed. You can't drive it away with the tint on it.

Most places make laws public knowledge.
As an operator of a motor vehicle we are expected to know what those laws are.
When you violate them the police have every right to issue you a violation notice.

Call Obama, maybe he'll give you a bailout.

If you snoop through the tinting sticky in Technical, Detailing and Appearance, it appears that the OP may have had his side windows tinted and/or too dark a tint to boot. Ticket country..........

That state table in there ^^^ is out of date, though. Maryland has changed their MVA laws to a lighter tint requirement.

Tint is a no go here, but I can't fail it on a safety inspection unless it is on the windshield...
Pretty retarded.

was not aware of the law, I also know that not knowing is not an excuse....This is the way I bought my -V from a certified dealer...Tint looks good and serves a purpose...but like other things that are "cool and serve a purpose" are illigal in Ca. like lowering too much, exhaust/intake etc.

Reason #23425246 for not getting my front windows tinted. Parting with my hard earned money, that's a little tough for me lol.
