Is it a "hot wire" type (air mass sensor)? The reason I aak is, oiled air filter elements like a K&N can foul the operation of a hot wire-type of sensor over time, right?

Hawkeye2 03-31-09, 06:05 AM Yes, the wire does need to be cleaned once in a while. I use rubbing alcohol on my LS1 with a K & N. I don't know what the V uses. Still waiting for mine to arrive! trukk 03-31-09, 02:28 PM Pop off the filter......<spray><spray>....close it back up....wait a few minutes for it to dry.....problem solved.
