First the good news: My V finally came in (ordered in mid-December). Blue Diamond/Black, Manual, Nav, Recaros, Suede. Drove it about 120 miles so far. Of course I love it, way better than my 04V in every way.
Now the bad news: I noticed a strong anti-freeze smell around the tailpipes when I got home & turned it off. I started up again, and the smell seemed to go away. Is this bad (ie head gasket) or is it normal break-in smell? The tailpipe area doesn't smell like the engine compartment break-in smell (that normal burn-in smell smells like every other new car I've had). Anyone else notice and smell from the tailpipe (engine off)?
I really don't want to have to take it in the day after I got it...plus if it is a head gasket I'll be crushed.

^^^ Nope - I just picked up my v2 last Friday and there was definitely no anti-freeze smell anywhere after driving it about 20 miles. I've driven it about 20 more since then and still no AF smell. I'd have it checked out if you continue to smell it. If not, it could be someone spilled a little AF while adding initial fluids to the car - no biggy ...

Probaly just that, a spill, but I would have a look see by the dealer

How hard did you punch your V, if you did that may be a clue

No more than 1/2 throttle a few times (long after it warmed up). Max RPM was 5k one time, rest of the time its been less than 4.

Check your intercooler tank filller at the top of your motor on the passenger side under the main cover. You probably have it leaking right there. Mine was WAY over filled and the first time i drove it, coolant was everywhere under the car. You just need to pull out a little and it wont leak any more.

Stopped by the dealer this am, they said everything looks ok, just let it break in.
BTW, this car is awesome!!!:cloud9:
If any of you are waiting for 2010..don't...you'll regret not having gotten this car sooner. I love the engine sound/feel, interior, clutch feel, recaros, nav, etc, etc
