Engine - $15k upgrade (cost to consumer if you have mallett do it)

S/C - for an ATI figure 9k installed, not sure about Mallett's prices, but that's with an intercooler

not sure how much boost they were pushing, of course. I would imagine the 427 can handle quite a bit.

Depending on how my winter goes I may end up with a 447cid V next spring, so y'all can watch for it. Let's hope business is good!

That specific car was set up by Mallet and is actually the same guys car that came in second in the One Lap event in the luxury sedan class....more power is always a good thing. Mallet used it as a mule after the One Lap to set up the supercharger package and then ran it in the C&D shootout.

that's what a preformance car is suppose to sound like. if you can still hear the person in the passenger seat screaming as you fly down the road, the car is too quiet :lildevil:

If anyone spent $50k to put a supercharged 427 in their car, they need to have their wallett examined with their head. I can drop a 274ci Buick Stage 2 motor in with a single turbo, new rear, new race prepped 400 tranny, etc and have 1100HP for about $30k.

Guy's I played the best trick on my wife, she was away last week, when she
got back I showed her the video clip, calmly saying "here's our car at the track,
what do you think?" her jaw was on the floor, she was really falling for it.
But to save the marriage I fessed up.:lildevil:

I think he is talking about dropping that motor into a caddy cts.. I've seen it done a few times.

274ci Buick Stage 2 motor in with a single turbo

Will that hold up to the One Lap races?

The Buick Stage 2 motor is a Bush North and Indy motor. I beleive it will hold up to lap racing:) , and the Buick motor is just as caddy as a SBC in a CAddy.:hmm:

SUPERCAR Shootout!?! What issue of car and driver is that going to be in? I knew it was SUPER but its good to know C&D thinks so as well. Even if it does have a couple of aftermarket parts.

Cal, remeber the 700 rwhp Caddy I spoke of earlier? :canttalk: I was just asked not to speak anymore of. Cat's out of the bag!

My memory must be going. I think everyone just assumes I am the one asking about how to get 700rwhp out of the car because I have nothing better to do than imagine what it is like to have the enamel on my teeth smeared off by torque.

Cal you probably have better things to do, it is just we think you sit back and dream of the 700 rwhp daily driver. :D
