Are these for the drag strip only? If so, are they only for the rears? If not, did you have to go with a specific set of 18's to fit the front brakes. :sneaky:

I went to tire rack and had them do thier magic. I have several choices to pick from for rims actually. I went with 18 inch all the way around so i can fit on cheaper Hoosier road race tires onthem and also fit my bf goodrich drag radials..

I might even set up a few sets for guys on here too if they want a set. I think they are 17-19 lbs so they are very light, and are less than 400 bucks a rim.

Which rims did you choose from Tire Rack?

I would be very interested in picking up a set of the wheels and tires you are talking about if you think they would be good for auto crossing.

Can someone refresh my memory as to what the exact rim width is for the front and rear of our cars???

UNRELATED---is it only me or can anyone else disable the stupid Kontera links? They won't go away, even when I click to disable them... :helpless:

Are you closing them by clicking on the "X" up in the right hand corner?

No, I click the "?" next to the X, then click on the link to disable it. It USED to completely disable them, but now it doesn't appear to do anything, which is frustrating, as I loathe that stupid feature... ;)

Thanks bud.

If memory serves, I've read on this forum that a 295 will fit without any issues on the rear (which actually is a BETTER match with the 255s in the front), but I don't think I read that 305s in the rear would work. This should be unrelated to the rim width, as I think a 305 works fine on a 10" rim.

Is that still the thought?

Although, if one was to stick 305/35s in the rear, I would probably go 265/40 in the front to match them appropriately.

QUESTION: How does the '09V determine its MPH? Based on how fast the rear wheel(s) spin? Other?

Are your slicks grooved or are they completely flat across the face of the tire? Like a full slick would be.

Of you're an 09, youre a sedan which has 9.5" rear wheels. Coupes have the 10" rears :)

Mickey Thompsons 305 35 19 drag radials work fine on the coupe and sedan rim. Tried and tested.
