it's pretty soft, i'd tap new threads. It's a NPT thread, just go buy a bigger bolt. I ran into this a few times elsewhere on my engine. A longer bolt might catch enough threads though. Maybe, just don't torque that one quite down to specs....

ill have to scope it out not sure if a much bigger bolt will fit
down the throttle body or not and i thought it was metric :)
maybe a retap with a bigger bolt will be the way to go guess ill
have to try and suck the thread shavings thru the manifoild
with the shop-vac :hmm:

I can't remember the torque on those but I thought it was pretty low-- 10 to 15 ft.lb. If it's just one bolt, I would first try sticking some slivers of stiff plastic (like pieces from a zip tie) down the sides of the hole to see if you can get enough bite with the bolt. Sometimes this works amazingly well.:D

well i went with a lil bit longer bolt i think it will work
got it torqued 15lbs so ill cross my fingers and recheck
after i get the engine in and get it heated up a lil bit :bouncy:

i think i remember the book saying torque to 12, so you should be fine. i'm glad a longer bolt worked for ya.
