I was just looking around at Pontiac G8 GXP's and I saw that the wheels they have are the same as the CTS-V. I thought it was interesting... sorry if this is a repost of any sort.

I did notice this and I wasn't pleased. The CTS-V should have received a nicer wheel design considering how much more the V costs over the GXP.

I do like the GXP, but nothing is the 2009 CTS-V, NOTHING!

I agree. Here is another shot of the whole car. I would like to take one for a spin though:)

The GXP is nice and I like it a lot and with GM offering 0% APR for 60 months not to mention dealer discounts and GM rebates (possibly), you can't get a car equipped like the GXP for that price, especially when you factor in the 0% financing.

The car is a steal at that price, but GM really should have made a Chevy version and called it the Impala SS. GM really is stupid when it comes to assigning vehicles to their brands.

They're not the same. They look similar. Pay closer attention to the triangle area, the V wheel has a very distinct diamond look instead of just a triangle.
These also resemble C5 ZO6 wheels.

Ahhhhhh.... so there is actually a difference. It is slight, but I see it now.

Here is the caddy wheel:

The question is, will they FIT the CTS-V? Still thinking ahead to next winter.....it'd be good to have another option. It's funny that my RL had exactly the same issue as the V in terms of wheel fit....funny offset needed to clear big front brake calipers. Figures...

BTW, the V wheels are the first OEM wheels I've had in almost ten years that I didn't immediately want to switch out. Yet another reason GM won me over.

too funny....same wheel, a little extra machining....

V guys get the fuzzy end of the lollipop again.

Doesn't matter if they are identical or just similar. They look way way too much alike.

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I've read that the V2 wheels are forged, making them lighter and able to have the edgier machining. I believe the GXP wheels are cast. They will be heavier, usually not as strong, but a lot cheaper. Hard to tell about the offsets, etc, because it's a different platform than the Sigma that Cadillac uses ( thank God no 6 bolt patterns like the last V).
