Only a few thousand XLRs have been sold around the world, and that was quite apparent when I took delivery of mine just a few weeks ago. Most people seeing it had stated they didn't even know Cadillac made it. Some people asked me if I customized a Corvette. But, in almost all cases, people marveled at the look. I have a black Platinum model with tan interior with 15-spoke polished aluminum rims. It goes BLING without being blingish. I am surprised how roomy the trunk is, with the top up, of course...and when the top is down, can live without it. The 320hp engine is way quick enough for me, and having ridden in a few Corvettes, the Magnetic suspension gives my XLR a really great ride...smooth as my former STS. Not bad for a roadster! The only real disappointment is the navigation system. The GPS screen looks like Atari designed it 20 years ago. But I do enjoy Bluetooth and my iPhone interface. Perhaps best of all with my experience? I bought this $88,000 stickered car for $62,500 no trade and 1.9% APR. It was the deal of a lifetime. Oops...sun's peeking out of the clouds. Gotta run! :)

Most hi perf cars in your neck of the woods end up with only a few thousand miles per year. In
Eagle's Nest, Pa, there is ice on the side of the mountain along side the highway as late as July.

XLR is a beautiful vehicle. I would have a hard time deciding that or the Vette. Both are fantastic vehicles.

A friend of mine in that area put only 4,000 miles on his Mercedes roadster in 3 years. Too much snow to drive it.

Take the winding road that goes north and south thru Eagle's nest. Water exudes from the rocky mountain side, and the sun does not hit it. The same mountain side has a covering of ice from the prev winter. Well, maybe early June, but we all like to exaggerate. Besides, at my age, I have a hard time with approx dates.
