: 307 Belt diagram?

Does anyone have the belt diagram for the Olds 307 engine? It's not a serpentine but individual belts. Right now I don't see how to put tension on the power steering pump. Is there a way to do this? (There doesn't appear to be a slider on it... only the alternator.

Also, there's currently no smog pump and no AC pump. Are these needed to route the belt? The AC system doesn't work so I don't want to spend the money on a pump if I don't have to. The car is an '82 and doesn't need to pass emissions anymore so a smog pump isn't necessary at the moment to get the car running.

Thanks!

I am looking for the same thing. What I do know is that you do not need the AIR or AC pump to run the power steering belt; the PS belt is its own belt entirely.

I got mine relatively tight by adjusting the pitch of the pump. The key here is to get the pump flywheel aligned just right. If the pump flywheel hole is in the 3-6 o'clock quarter, you'll be able to get a deep well socket through the pump and the bracket, which will enable you to access a bolt to loosen. At that point, I pulled back and tightened it down.

This got me running, but squealing like a wild banshee for 3 minutes on cold start up. Not sure how bad you need to get rolling again. There's two ways; right and right now. Mine's basically the latter, some help for the two of us, please!

Thanks! I'll take a look at it and see if I can do the same. Good to know I don't NEED the AIR and AC pump to get it going. I'm in the latter too. I need to get the car up ASAP because I have to take my other car down for repairs and then work on getting it done completely right.

*Update*

Here's what I've gathered so far. First is AIR pump belt. Then Alt to water pump pulley. Underneath that is the power steering to water pump and crank. Underneath that is A/C.
