: How do I remove the rear bumper cover?

I need to replace the rear/passenger side marker bulb. I think I can replace the bulb from underneath the car. However, I can't get my hand into the cavity behind the light assembly without removing the bumper cover.

Does anyone know the process for removing the rear bumper cover?

Or, maybe an easier way to access this bulb. I read that you can access it by removing the interior panels and sub-woofer; however, this seems like a lot of work just to change a bulb.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

This is from the 2004 manual. The 2005 manual recommends having the dealer change all bulbs.

Sidemarker Lamps
This procedure is for replacing the sidemarker bulb only.
If you need to replace the parking lamp bulb or
halogen headlamp as well, see Headlamps, Sidemarker,
and Parking Lamps on page 5-51.
1. Use a tool to remove the fasteners that attach the
front fascia extension panel in the wheelhouse.
2. Reach forward past the wheelhouse to the front
sidemarker socket in the outboard side of the
headlamp assembly.
3. Rotate the front sidemarker socket one-eighth turn
counterclockwise to remove it.
4. Replace the bulb. See Replacement Bulbs on
page 5-55 for the proper bulb number.
5. Reinstall the socket to the headlamp assembly.
6. Replace the fasteners that attach the front fascia
extension panel in the wheelhouse.
Oops sorry, you were after the rear side marker lamp.
Taillamps, Turn Signal, Stoplamps and Sidemarker Lamps
It is recommended that this component be replaced as
a unit. See your dealer.

Thanks. Sounds like bulbs in the rear light assembly are not replaceable. Then I guess I'll live without the rear side marker because the assembly costs several hundred dollars.

Just a thought, have you considered used parts ? If you cannot find the part locally you can usually find what you need on Ebay or online salvage companies, good morning luck.
