I have a couple lights burned out in the steering wheel of my 2005 ESV.
The seek and enter buttons don't work, all the rest work fine.

Is this a do it yourself project?

If so can anybody help me out with bulb type and procedure to remove the rocker switch and replace the bulb.

Thanks!

You have to buy the whole switch but they are relatively cheap.Just GENTLY pry the switch assembly out iwth a pick or something. It is just wedged in there. There is a plug on the backside but the wires are short

I would recommend disconnecting the neg battery cable first.

Pop the airbag out and you can work the wires a bit. Some people take off the negative battery cable first.I didn't.

On either side of the airbag you will see two small holes.Down in those holes are metal tabs that hold the airbag in the wheel.A metal pick or whatever will be fine to use.Poke both sides adn the airbag will nearly pop out at you.You can let it hang. You will see the wire harness for each switch assembly in the back. You can try and unplug them but they are a bear.I just pushed them a bit to give enough slack to plug in the new switch.

People just get scared of the airbag.
