You should try and find some new cornering lights. Those are rather nasty looking.

It's one of my many frequent ebay searches along with a set of wire wheels. I saw a blue 87 with wires on it about a week ago that was in pretty rough shape driven by an old lady. The kitchen chair cushion on the driver's seat and old skool wrap around wheel cover gave the driver's age/gender away. The car has a big dent in the back bumper like she backed into something hard enough and the paint looks rough but the wires are only dirty. I wiped them with my finger and they have a pretty decent shine to them. Sad part was the car has no For Sale signs on it so this is still someone's light duty daily driver with no intention of parting with it. You can bet if it was I'd pick it up for a few hundred bucks and swap out the wheels before flipping it......

Go over and introduce yourself. Tell her how much you like her car. Show her yours. Offer to wash her car for her. Offer to buy her a set of tires in trade for the wheels. I bet she goes for it.

I thought there was a better picture somewhere else. It showed up in the thread a while back from when you found that thing after it disappeared for a year or so.

I am enamored by that Brougham. It's always great to see the pictures. Autumn Maple Firemist & Diplomat Blue. My faves.

With all the Winter hibernating and Spring unveiling, perhaps you should change her name to Persephone. As always, a beauty to behold!

That Brougham is a real beauty, for sure. Where did you find the front license plate holder? IMHO, adds an elegant touch to an already very classy car.

Thanx for the info on that, I'll take a peek-around next time I stop in. (the one here in SD I mean)
... also, I'm a bit confused about the Fleetwood name. Wasn't the Fleetwood for 1989 a front wheel drive model, with the name Brougham being used for the rear wheel drive models? That's always stumped me ...

Yeah, they changed the names around a lot. Usually people just call the RWD models a Fleetwood and when they are talking about the FWD models they mention that it is FWD. I run into this problem a lot and have actually given up on calling my Fleetwood a Fleetwood. When I meet someone new I usually just refer to it as a DeVille unless they are a Caddy fan and know the difference.

That sounds like a good workaround, thanks for mentioning :)

The "Fleetwood" name came off the car in 1987, first year without it. The word "Cadillac" is supposed to be on mine but it fell off in a car wash and I recovered it, but found an awesome deal on two NOS "Fleetwood" emblems on ebay for $25 and bought 'em, slapped one on the car. I like it better and I think the car deserves to keep the name so I protested.....

Suck it GM....

I always thought of those big RWD Caddies as Fleetwoods, too. It's your car; you can call it whatever you damn please. I replaced the SLS emblem on the back of Sabrina's trunk with a Seville emblem from the export version.
