I was wondering anyone with UUC transmission mounts?

whats the difference with the stock tranny mounts compared to UUC tranny mounts?

I am getting a good deal, so i was wondering if i should get it?

is it worth getting,if i am in warranty till 100k?

I've never had a trans mount go bad but the uuc is much more stiff. If you are doing the engine you might as well do the trans as well. Its the easiest one! And I love all my UUC parts BTW. They are very good quality and really stand up to some abuse!

I did mine on my own so I cant hep you with that but it doesn't take 20 minutes to change the trans mount on a lift.

If you're getting headers put on like you said in your other thread, then the labor to replace the motor mounts shouldn't be too much extra. If you get headers then want to put in the UUC motor mounts later, the headers will have to come off to get the UUC motor mounts in, so if I were you I would get it done now.

786,

like ^^^ said why dont you make a list of what you bought or plan on doing....then post and the guys here can save you money and give you all the info needed to make sure you don't have to redo what you just did...or pay twice to do something you could have done at the same time

ie....my mod list..please sanity check for me

but how much will it cost me to get the motor mounts installed?

any way to have UUC motor mounts installed by service guys at the cadillac dealership and they put the UUC mounts with no cost,

thebigjimsho

doubt it. I don't even think Lindsay can replace them with UUC under warranty. Has to be out of pocket. if they're not shot, wait to do headers or a clutch or flywheel to save on labor, if you can...

03-19-09, 04:32 PM
It costs more than that to mount a tranny.

He's a buddy of mine, so since he has done a set, he said to tell my CTSV People if interested. He's just looking to make a couple of bucks not rip anyone off.

I just installed my trans mount last night while I was doing my shifter. Seems to really help out with some of the up front clunk. Now I'm waiting on the rear diff bushing puller tool to get rid of the dreaded rear clunk. Guess I'll have to buy some headers so I can put in the motor mounts. :yup:

With just the shifter and trans mount though; driving is fun again.
