I have a related question, but for the SLS.

I heard that these Eibachs from tirerack.com lower the STS one inch front, one inch rear. Are the one's for the SLS different? Or would they lower the car one inch lower than an STS? Or just one inch lower than the current SLS ride height?

The car is a 99 SLS, with the ELC and RSS.

Thanks. This looks like a great web site! I just found it a couple of days ago.

I don't think there will be any ill effects of lowering you car
and you should be able to use any shocks that would fit a stock application

Have you actually seen an STS lowered? You might want to see one before you spend money on parts. There's a guy here in town that's got one lowered and it doesn't look as good as I would have thought! In my opinion it made the car look kind of dumpy and out of preportion. If I see it and happen to have my trusty digital camera handy I'll post a photo of it! I have KYBs on my Seville and I really like them! My car is not an STS though and I'm not sure what it would do on one. I've seen the pics of your car and I think it's probably one of the best looking STS's I've seen....I would defenitly NOT lower that car!
